GFX GFX GARDEN FXLEGACY
Legacy

GFX Legacy.

Earlier versions of GFX plug-ins. When a Stable plug-in gets a new panel, its old one is kept here, unchanged, for anyone who prefers it. The new versions open old projects with the same sound, so you only need these if you want the old look back.

Legacy plug-ins

Click a panel to see it full size. Each one is a single .jsfx file that needs the GFX system files beside it. It shows up in REAPER as (legacy), so it can sit next to the current version.

Mark 73 (legacy) Tine e-piano

The original panel of Mark 73, the sample-free tine electric piano: physically modelled from hammer to pickup, with a stage or suitcase amp, bulb tremolo and a chorus, vibe, delay and reverb row. The Stable Mark 73 now has a new panel and a channel strip page; this is the first one, as it was.

  • Original panel
  • Same sound
  • 14 presets

Tonewheel (legacy) Drawbar organ

The first Tonewheel, the drawbar organ without a rotary speaker: 91 spinning tonewheels, nine drawbars, percussion, key click and the scanner vibrato and chorus, on its original walnut-and-ivory panel. The Stable Tonewheel now has the rotary built in and a new panel; this one is dry, for use with your own rotary.

  • Original panel
  • No rotary
  • 10 presets

Optimiser (legacy) Loudness processor

The first Optimiser, the broadcast-style loudness chain: slow AGC, a phase-coherent four-band compressor with band coupling, an HF limiter, a FIZZ exciter, a soft clipper and a brickwall limiter, with LINK and OS. Optimiser II replaces it in the Stable; this one stays so older projects open as they were.

  • Same sound

Install

Download

Get the plug-in file above, and the GFX system files if you don’t have the Stable installed already.

Copy into REAPER

In REAPER choose Options › Show REAPER resource path and put the file in the same folder as your GFX Stable plug-ins and their gfx-*.jsfx-inc system files (with ReaPack that is Effects/GFX/Stable).

Find it

Open the FX browser, press F5 to rescan, and search for legacy.

Legacy plug-ins are not updated. Optimiser (legacy) still comes with the Stable on ReaPack, so old projects keep working.
